May 2023 Training

Training classes in May were often cut short by calls but we managed to cover a lot of areas.

EMS training focussed on a review of the basics: airway and moving patients. Maintaining a patent airway is a critical first step in patient care. Moving sick or injured patients requires a variety of tools and techniques. We covered stairchairs, gurneys, skeds, longboards and alternate methods.

Fire training included AARs (after action reviews), hose pulls, ropes and knots, and Unit 3 Rope Rescue.
